Among the many celebrations going down in the Big Apple, MTV played host to its "NYE In NYC 2012" special in Times Square on Saturday night (December 31).
Joining the millions watching the countdown as the ball dropped, the MTV bash was co-hosted by Demi Lovato and Tyler Posey, with the "Teen Wolf" star tweeting prior to the festivities, "This is the last day of the craziest year of my life and what a gnarly way to end it by co-hosting #mtvNYE with the beautiful @ddlovato!!"
Boasting plenty of talent to keep viewers entertained, the MTV "NYE In NYC 2012" special featured rockin' performances by Miss Lovato, as well as Selena Gomez, Jason Derulo, Mac Miller and J. Cole (watch Demi and Selena in action in the player above!).
Voicing his gratitude over being included in the New Year's happenings, Derulo (who performed "Don't Wanna Go Home" and "It Girl") said, "I cannot think of another way to bring the new year in than with MTV. I'm excited — new year, new beginnings."
