Report: Resse Witherspoon to Produce "The Engagements"

Ready to flex her multifaceted entertainment muscles, Reese Witherspoon is in negotiations to produce and possibly star in “The Engagements.”

According to a report from Deadline on Wednesday (March 20), Fox 2000 acquired the rights to the novel by J. Courtney Sullivan and have asked the “Walk the Line” actress to come on board.

The novel follows the story of an engagement ring that is handed down from the 1930’s to the present and connects all of its wearers in surprising ways.

It is expected that Ms. Witherspoon will produce the project alongside her partner Bruna Papandrea.
