After a disappointing day in court, Halle Berry, Olivier Martinez, and Nahla Aubry were spotted returning to their Beverly Hills home on Monday (November 26).
In a strange twist of events, after reports that it was Nahla's father Gabriel Aubry who started the Thanksgiving brawl with Olivier, it was the French-Canadian model himself who got a restraining order against Halle's fiancée.
According to Gabriel's testimony, reported by TMZ, the day before Thanksgiving, he took Nahla to her school play. The "Cloud Atlas" star and Olivier showed up and Olivier walked up to Gabriel and whispered in his ear in French, "I wish I could beat the s**t out of you right now. You're lucky we're in a school right now. We're going to take Nahla right now and you're not going to follow us."
The following day, Gabriel claims he took Nahla to her mother's house around 10 am. However, Olivier came to the door and said "We need to talk." According to Gabriel, he then walked toward the front door when Olivier jumped off the stairs and knocked Gabriel to the ground and started brutally beating him, screaming that Gabriel cost them $3 million to fight the custody war.
Photos of Gabriel's injuries were submitted into evidence and the judge ordered Olivier to stay away from him. Meanwhile, Halle's attorneys still hope to extend the emergency restraining order already in place against Gabriel.
The domestic drama started in early 2010 when Halle and Gabriel split, but things seemed to be fairly amicable between the co-parents of little Nahla.
In January 2011, Gabriel filed for joint custody of Nahla, igniting bad blood between the exes.
After a brief truce when both sides agreed to reach a custody deal, the wound reopened in early 2012 when Halle sought permission from the court to move with Nahla to France, where her new fiancée holds citizenship.
A long legal battle ensued and a judge ruled against Halle in November 2012, which clearly angered her French fiancée. Thus, the Thanksgiving Day brawl of 2012.
